Jalandhar 11 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Innocent Hearts G.M.T., Loharan and C.J.R. students belonging to Classes II to VIII participated in a one day adventure camp each at Camp Comrade, Phagwara,. This camp is organized by the company ‘Rocksport’. The camp lasted for about one week. Daily about 15 to 20 activities were conducted. Ring Wing, Alpha Cross, Balance beam Laser Beam, Crocodile Pit and Zipline were some of the complicated activities that the students did with great enthusiasm and were encouraged to do, with full support of the teachers. In addition the children enjoyed tractor rides also. During the adventure camp the students also learnt the art of pottery. They also danced with abandon to the beat of the D.J. On the whole around 2000 students took part in the camp. The team of the company ‘Rocksport’ themselves enabled the activities of the students and encouraged them every step of the way. These activities once begun continued for a week with students of different classes taking part each day. The students from all three branches G.M.T., Loharan and C.J.R. participate in these events. Director Principal, Mr. Dheeraj Banati explained that these activities help the child to gain self-confidence. The Vice Principal – Ms. Sharmila Nakra and Incharge Primary wing – Ms. Harleen Gulria, Incharge Senior Wing Loharan – Ms. Shallu Sehgal, Incharge Primary Wing Loharan – Ms. Alka Incharge C.J.R. – Ms Sonali accompanied the students during the camp.
