Jalandhar 1 September (Jaswinder Azad)- PG Dept. of Commerce & Business Administration of KanyaMahaVidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar organized a One Day Regional Investor AwarenessProgramme on Women Empowerment through Financial Education in collaboration with SEBI and NSE. Mr. AmitPradhan, Regional Director, SEBI participated as Chief Guest and Key Note Speaker while MS RanaUsman, Sr. AVP NSE, Ms. RenuBhandari, Chief Manager, NSE and Mr. Surya Kant Sharma, Dy. General Manager, SEBI were the distinguished Guests. Sh. Chander Mohan, President AryaShikshaMandal presided over the programme. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV welcomed the Guest for the occasion. Sh. Chander Mohan gave his presidential remarks highlighting the key roles of women as CEO’s and Chairperson of leading banks and financial institution in India. The Chief Guest Mr. AmitPradhan in his address elaborated the Working Structure of SEBI and also highlighted the changing trends of legal framework and financial market. He also mentioned the various facilities an investor can avail at the time of any insecurity related to finance. Associated to NSE since last 20 years Ms. RanaUsman presented the fact that due to improper guidance regarding the financial market the youth is less serious in this factor. Sh. Surya Kant Sharma gave the information to the students regarding the vital role played by SEBI to protect the rights of investors. He also mentioned the career opportunities in securities market.
The distinguished resource persons also shared their valuable views on various aspects of securities and Financial markets like Derivaives, Investment options like mutual funds, Gold ETFs etc. Legal framework, how & when to invest and most important how to lodge complaint in case of any grievances. They also shared various preventive measures that can be taken by an investor. They emphasised that women are he multitaskers and prudent enough.
