Jalandhar 8 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The NCC Air Wing Unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organised a tree plantation drive wherein the cadets actively participated and planted many saplings in the college campus. The drive is directed towards creating awareness among youth to help protect the environment by planting more and more trees. Speaking on the occasion the Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra said that environment protection was the need of the hour as the earth and life on it were facing a serious threat in the form of environmental pollution. He said that awareness regarding the menace was needed to spread in the society and the plantation drive was an attempt in this direction. PI Staff 1PB Air Sqn NCC Jalandhar MWO Mohammad Zakir Hussain, JWO M. Rajbhar, CPL R. Verma and CPL Sunil Saini, Prof. Manohar Singh Head Department of Computer Science & IT were also present on the occasion.
