Jalandhar 12 October (Jaswinder Azad)- DAV College’s esteemed English department professor and the former Principal of the College, DR. V K Tiwari's took his heavenly abode on Monday. His death has sent a wave of grief among students. After news of the death came, Condolence meet was dressed in DAV College today. Condolence meeting held today paid homage to former Principal Dr VK Tiwari. Prayers for peace and a two-minute silence was observed.
Speaking at a condolence meeting Principal Dr. B B Sharma said, demise of Dr. V K Tiwari is a loss for the academic world. Dr Tiwari’s relationship with me was extremely close, i had got a chance to learn from Dr. Tiwari, He was always ready to serve the community and getting them their rights, even whether it is a matter of enforcement of the Sixth Pay Commission.He was a hardworking and diligent personality, Dr. Tiwari studied in DAV College, taught in DAV college and even became Principal of DAV college. He served over 40 years in the institution with full dedication. Dr. Tiwari’s leadership qualities are so great that it is a tough job to put it in words. Making this Institution to an empire, modernization of the girls' hostel,start of Alumni Meet, everything was done under his effcient leadership. The college was closed after the mourning ceremony. Condolence meeting was chaired by the Principal Dr BB Sharma and staff Secratary Dr. Samir Sharma.
