Five Day INSPIRE Camp at KMV concludes

Jalandhar 12 November (Jaswinder Azad)- The concluding day ofseventh 5-day INSPIRE Camp started with an enlightening talk by Maj. Gen. (retd.) G.G. Dwivedi on “Indian Spring-A Date with Destiny”. The erudite scholar started his discourse with the note that the youth of India is full of energy and India is at the threshold of spring.  India has the potential to become the lead nation. This is called Indian spring.  The learned resource person enlightened the students about some truths which may run India spring but one should not be declared by it.  He said that young people have energy, knowledge, connectivity and global opportunities.  Maj. Gen. Dwivedi said that one should discover one’s passion, passion and purpose should be complained, one must have ethical values, and one should have strong personality.  He concluded his talk with a very valuable message that one should take life as a mission.  It is in the hands of youth of make Indian Spring a blooming one.
The second talk was by Dr.AwdeshPandey (Specialist in Nuclear Medicine) who delivered a very informative talk on “Nuclear Medicine”.  He acquainted the students with the importance of nuclear medicine and the avenues and career opportunities in the field.  He informed the students that nuclear medicine can be very helpful in detecting the deadly diseases like cancer.
Prof. A.S. Ahluwalia (Dept. of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh) delivered a talk on “Global Warming and Climate Change”.  Dr.Ahluwalia said that pollution is increasing due to human activities and environment is changing due to tonic effect of human activities.  Dr.Manmohan Singh Heer (Asstt. Prof. in Physics, KMV) delivered a talk on “Nuclear Radiations”.  Dr. Singh discussed in detail the basics of nuclear physics and radiations and atomic structure. It was a very interactive session. After these enlightening talks, the Principal KMV Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi gave away prizes to the winners of various competitions and certificates to the participants of the camp.  Madam Principal lauded the efforts of the organizing committee for the successful organization of INSPIRE Camp.
