INSPIRE Internship Science Camp from 15th to 19th November at HMV

Jalandhar 12 November (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is organizing third science camp of INSPIRE Internship during November 15 -19, 2016.  This camp is fully sponsored by the department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.  Director of INSPIRE Camp and Principal of the College Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen told that 200 students from about 20 schools of Jalandhar and other districts are attending this camp.  The five day schedule of the camp comprises a variety of innovative way to transfer knowledge about latest scientific innovations through interactive sessions and lectures by the experts from various disciplines.  Coordinator of camp and HOD Bioinformatics Mr. Harpreet Singh said that arrangements have been made for skill development in students through hands-on practical sessions, demonstrations and workshops.  Moreover, a science quiz competition and an essay writing competition will also be conducted and the winners will be awarded.  The eminent scientists from the top research and academic institutes from India including Indian Institute of Variable Energy, Tropical Meterology, Pune, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, PGI Chandigarh, National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, JNU, New Delhi, Nirma University of Science and Technology, Gandhinagar, PU, Chandigarh, GNDU, Amritsar will be acting as resource persons.  Students will learn basics and advances in various fields of sciences including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.  This camp will give students an ample opportunity to interact with their science icons, learn from their experiences and will get motivated towards career in science.
