Jalandhar 8 December (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar invited Mrs. Shruti Shukla, State Co-ordinator-cum- Deputy Director, Guidance Bureau, Punjab to provide Skill Development Consultancy to the KMV faculty especially the faculty providing guidance to the students of B.Voc Courses being run under the aegis of Kaushal Kendra granted to KMV by UGC under the Scheme of MHRD, Govt. of India. Exhibiting keen interest in the courses being run, Mrs. Shruti Shukla visited all the labs and departments catering to these courses. She was highly impressed by the infrastructure and bestowed lavish appreciation flawless manner of running the B.Voc courses namely Animation, Management & Secretarial Practices, Retail Management, Photography & Journalism, Textile Design & Apparel Technology and Nutrition, Exercise & Health. Giving her valuable inputs Mrs. Shukla averred that these courses provide excellent opportunities of self-reliance to the pursuants. Mrs. Shukla also went around the whole campus and deemed KMV a perfect amalgam of tradition and modernity. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi maintained that KMV being the only college in GNDU to be awarded the Kaushal Kendra under the Scheme of MHRD, Govt. of India is acting as a boon for all those students who aspire to gain skill oriented training. She expressed her gratitude to the eminent dignitary of having spared her valuable time to motivate and direct the faculty.
