Jalandhar 11 February (Jaswinder Azad)- The Department of Environmental Sciences of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organized Eco-Fest 2017. The event was sponsored by NEAC, PSCST. The theme of the event was ‘Combating Desertification, Land Degradation and Drought’. An extension lecture was delivered by Dr. Shailendra Bajpai, Head Dept. of Chemical Sciences, NIT, Jalandhar on “Membrane Technology for Water Treatment and Water Conservation”. Dr. Bajpai discussed various methods to conserve water viz. water budgeting and reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems. The fest was, marked by a series of events like Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Rangoli Making, One Act Play, Mime and Choreography. Around 300 students participated in the event. Ms. Sadhna Tandon, Head, Dept. Environment Science extended a vote of thanks. The Principal of KMV Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the faculty members for the successfully organization of the event. Those present on the occasion were Ms. Nimneet Kaur, Ms. Suffalica Kalia, Dr. Archana Saini, Ms. Akanksha, Ms. Shikha and Ms. Sharan.
