Jalandhar 15 February (Gurkirat Singh)- Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town, Loharan and Cantt.-Jandiala Road celebrated National De-worming Day. A rally was conducted to convey a message “Celebrate Life with Worm Free State”. The students of class VIII-Krish, Chahat, Abhinav and Devam moved to the junior wing and informed the ways to keep healthy. The reasons of stomach worms were explained to them. They were told that the children get infected because of moving bare foot, eating with dirty hands and taking unhygienic food. These conditions lead to the anemic state and illness. The students of class I to VI wrote a paragraph on De-worming. The students of class VII and VIII took out a rally for the same. Dr. Anup Bowry–Academic Secretary of Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust mentioned that the children’s health is our priority, so the activities related to health issues are a regular feature of our awareness programs.
