Jalandhar 12 February (Gurkirat Singh)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar has actively been involved in various philanthropic activities and keeping this tradition, the NSS Unit of the college visited the NGO, Goonj and donated Clothes , toys for the needy. The students and faculty members visited the office of Goonj at Adarsh Nagar and distributed various articles like Clothes, Toys, and Bags. Every year the NSS Unit visits Goonj and helps the poor by donating something. This year also, the students enthusiastically collected all the necessary material with the help of their friends and neighborhood. Around 75 boxes containing various articles were donated at Goonj. Principal, Dr Sucharita Sharma applauded the efforts of NSS Dean, Dr. Apra for successfully conducting the Endeavour. She said that the college aims at holistic development of the students and such social outreach programs helps in sensitizing our young students. Madam Apra also expressed her gratitude towards Madam Principal for mentoring her to carry forward this Endeavour successfully.
