Jagpreet Singh adjudged the title of Mr. Machinist organized by CTIT

Harmandeep Singh and Mr. Gurjit Singh of CTIT was the 1st and 2nd Runner up of the competition.
Jalandhar 11 February (Jaswinder Azad)- CT Institute of Technology hosted an event “MR. MACHINIST” a challenge competition organised by AUTOMECH Club of Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shahpur Campus on Thursday. There was active participation of 120 students participated from different institutes of CT Group of Institutions namely CT Institute of Engineering, Management and Technology (CTIEMT) and CT Polytechnic College (CTPC). The event had three rounds  which were written test that tested the basic knowledge about the machine tools and the candidates who qualified had finished their job of the given configuration quickly within the time specified using the lathe, milling, shaper. The one who finishes/prepares the job as per sequence described in round 2 were announced as the top winners of this event. Mr. Jagpreet Singh (ME-II) won the title of Mr. Machinist, Mr. Harmandeep Singh (ME-IV) and Mr. Gurjit Singh (ME-VIII) was the 1st and 2nd Runner up of the competition.
Dr. P.S. Bedi (Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated and honored the winners of the competition. Dr. P.S. Bedi said, “The purpose of this event is to give the students a platform to show their practical ability to work on different machines to develop jobs with perfections and to enhance awareness about the machine tools.” He joined that the events of such generic are very important to make students able to compete with ever rising competition in the outer world. Such events provide the platform to the students to use their practical skill and supplement their learning process beyond classroom to widen their horizon.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman of CT Group of Institutions stated, “Our organization always welcomed the talented students those who always been on foot front to explore new things and ideas. I have great aspiration from the students as they would definitely prove their mark after they will enter the professional field.”
