A lecture on Eye donation was organised by NCC department of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar

Jalandhar 6 March (Jaswinder Azad)- In an attempt to raise awareness about eye donation, a lecture was organised by NCC department of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalabdhar. Mr. Ashok Mehra (State, Co-ordinator of Punarjot Welfare Society) delivered lecture on importance and necessity of eye donation to NCC cadets and students. He addressed that donating eyes after death is a noble cause as it enables a person to see this beautiful world. He told the students that approximately 4 crore people in the whole world are blind out of which 1.5 crore are Indians. Punrjot Welfare Society has been conducting a mission to make Punjab blind free. To continue this mission Principal Dr. Kiran Arora, faculty members, NCC cadets and more than 150 students took pledge to donate their eyes. Lt. Priya Mahajan gave whole credit to commanding officer of Jalandhar NCC group Brigadior I.M.S. Parmar & to commanding officer of 2 punjab girls Bnn, Colonel Atul Shah for their motivation to conduct such events.
