KMV organizes a Press Conference on a two-day International Conference on Skill Development in Education

Jalandhar 16 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar organized a Press Conference regarding the International Conference on “Skill Development in Education (ICSD-17)” which is being organized by KMV  under the aegis of Kaushal Kendra awarded by MHRD, Govt. of India on March 17-18, 2017. This multidisciplinary conference is on a very pertinent topic of global concern as Skill Development has become vital for sustainable economic growth in the present era, especially for nations like India with promising opportunities. The theme is in sync and support of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Skilled India’-which is the need of the hour for economic growth of the nation. This conference aims at investigating how skill development, as a tool for change, can be used to solve the emerging market challenges of youth unemployment and how education can contribute in this direction.
It is a matter of singular honour for us to host 15 eminent scholars from 8 countries and luminaries from 20 states of India. Distinguished luminaries of international standing from leading universities of US, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Tunisia, Australia, Sri Lanka and India will grace the conference.

Prof, Centre for Intercultural Psychology & Education, Eotvos Lorand Univ, Budapest, Hungary; Dr. R.K.Mahajan, Dean Colleges, GNDU, Asr; Maj.Gen(retd) Prof (Dr.) GG Dwivedi, SM,VSM & BAR, Dean International Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh; Dr Shruti Shukla, State Co-ordinator, State Council for Education Research & Training, Mohali; Ms. Hanen Trabelsi from Tunisia, Ms Eliza from Australia. We have Video Conferencing Session too. Prof. John Battaglino, Dean, Student Welfare, Boston Univ., USA  & Dr. Parul Bhatnagar,  Associate Prof., Dept. of Drawing and Painting, Faculty of Arts, Dyalbagh Educational Institute, Agra will conduct Video conferencing sessions.
She also mentioned that KMV has already registered 230 paper presenters for the conference and the number is constantly on the rise.  It is because of this overwhelming participation that paper presentations will be organized in 9 parallel venues during both the days. 700+ students have got themselves registered as delegates for this conference and the number is still increasing. 50 of our students are also presenting papers during this Conference. This overwhelming response is indeed laudable. A Souvenir carrying the abstracts of the papers to be presented will also be released on the occasion.
Creative Extravaganza-A Gala Evening-cum-Dinner will be organized on March 17, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. which will be a befitting attempt to give a peep to all present into our rich cultural legacy.  Mr. Sunil Jyoti, Mayor, Jalandhar; Mrs. Indu Verma, Director, Doordarshan, Jal; Mr. Arpit Shukla, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, Mrs. Shruti Shukla, State Co-ordinator, Guidance Bureau, Punjab; Mr. Santokh Chaudhary and Mrs. Karamjit Chaudhary will be the Honoured Guests for the Cultural Evening. Other luminous citizens of Jalandhar and academicians will also be present on the occasion.
