Jalandhar 21 April (Jaswinder Azad)- To make the children aware about their surroundings and about sustainable development, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, celebrated World Earth Day on 21st April, 2017 in the school. Children rallied from the school campus to Doaba chowk with an aim to achieve cleanliness, to encourage afforestation and to discourage deforestation. A beautiful play was dramatized on the stage. The theme of the play was to encourage the children to make their surroundings clean and green. PPT was also shown to tell the children the importance of this day. The purpose of the day was fulfilled when young sprouts from the classes Nursery to 1st did plantation with the help of their teacher incharges. Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Arshiya Badalia, guided the children to become more responsible citizens by making the Earth a happy place to live.
