CT University signs MoU with Fortis Hospital Ludhiana

  • The agreement has been signed for Internship for BBA (Healthcare Management), MBA (Healthcare Management, Physiotherapy and other medical sciences) program
 Jalandhar 15 July (Gurkirat Singh)- CT University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana to promote academic and research co-operation between the two institutes. Dr. Harsh Sadawarti (Pro Vice Chancellor, CT University) and Mr. Vivan Singh Gill, Facility (Director, Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana) formally signed an agreement. Mr. A.P. Singh and Mr. Shrikant Juneja, represented Fortis Hospital and Prof. S.S. Grewal represented CT University to exchange the MOU on behalf of their respective organizations. Both the organizations entered into the MoU with the purpose of collaborating to provide a framework for practical training to the students studying at CTU leading to award of MBA (Health Care Management) and BBA (Heath Care Management, Physiotherapy and other Medical Sciences) to be conducted jointly by CTU and Fortis at the Hospital. The MoU includes sharing of expert resources, regular seminars and guest lectures by Fortis Hospital experts. The joint scope of the program is to provide 1-6 months internship to the students enrolled with CT University at Fortis Hospital. Mr. Vivan Singh Gill, Facility (Director, Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana) informed that the MoU includes conducting of CSR activities, joint conferences and seminars as per the mutual discussion. There will be Joint guidance of student projects/thesis in area of national interest at CTU by Fortis Hospital on mutually agreeable terms. Dr. Harsh Sadawarti (Pro Vice Chancellor, CT University) said that to assist in designing and on occasion teach a Course or Courses which it seems fit to enhance quality and performance of the students. Fortis Hospital will provide practical training of CT University students and familiarize the students with its business practices vision, values and requirements. It also give priority to CT University students in getting internship at Fortis for other programs in Medicine, & best practices in Pharmacy. CT University shall provide special designed MBA Healthcare part time program for the employees of Fortis Ludhiana and other through weekend classes or mutually agreed time table and keeping the venue in the Hospital or at Campus. S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chancellor, CT University) congratulated both the institutions on signing the MoU for providing industry driven quality education to the students.
