Jalandhar 6 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The PG Department of Computer Science and IT organized a special program on the occasion of National Teachers Day in which College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. As per the tradition of the program the teaching and non teaching staff of the program participated in the program which included the Cake Cutting ceremony and other cultural presentations. In addition to these events, a play named ‘A life journey of a teacher’ was also enacted on the stage. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra threw valuable light on the history and importance of the National Teachers Day and its relevance in the current day scenario. Prof. Manohar Singh, Head, PG Department of Computer Scince and IT also shared his thoughts and memories associated with this day. Prof. Sandeep Singh stressed the need to bridge the widening gap between modern day students and teachers. The program and its activities were also witnessed by Prof. Sanjeev Anand, Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof. Baldev Singh, Prof. Manpreet Singh, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Gagandeep Singh and all the other faculty members and students of the Department.
