Jalandhar 30 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Talented and ambitious students of DAV College, Jalandhar proved to be highly successful in spreading their fame at zonal youth fest 2017 held in GNDU, Amritsar. DAV College, Jalandhar secured total 23 positions( first 06+ second 10 + third 07). DAV College, Jalandhar stood first in Western Solo, Elocution, Kawishari, Flute, Play, Debate. DAV, Jalandhar bagged second position in Collage, Rangoli, Tabla, Ludi, Bhangra, Poem, Group Bhajan, Folk Orchestra, Mime and Ghazal. DAV, Jalandhar has been successful in getting third position in Group Song, Clay Modelling, Vaar, Folk Song, Phulkari, Skit and Western Group.
Apart from securing various positions, students of DAV, Jalandhar have got various awards. Harjot Singh from Bhangra got "Best Dancer", Manpreet Kaur from Play won "Best Actress", Shreyansh from Play achieved the award of "Third Best Actor" and Pankush from Group Song got "Third Best Singer".
While congratulating the glorious victory of DAV College, Jalandhar's Zonal Youth Festival, Principal S.K Arora gave best wishes to all the students. He said that all the students had worked hard for this Zonal Youth Festival, which today has earned them a great victory in Youth Festival. Along with this, he also gave his best wishes to the students for the Inter-Zneal Youth Festival and motivated them to work hard.
Vice Principal of DAV College, Jalandhar V.K. Sareen also congratulated the students who won a grand victory at the Youth Festival, saying that with the right leadership of S. S. Randhawa and the hard work of the students, they have won a grand victory in the Zonal Youth Festival. He motivated the students to perform similarly in the inter-zonal youth festival competitions.
At the same time, the Dean of the EMA department Prof. SS Randhawa congratulated students on this success of the students and encouraged to perform better in the forthcoming inter-zonal competition. All the participants blissfully returned after the victory. Students are full of zeal for performing even better in inter-zonal youth fest 2017.
