Educated And Empowered Girls Could Make India A  Front Ranking Country In The World
Jalandhar 10 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Describing education and financial autonomy as key mantras for women empowerment, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Jalandhar Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh today called upon the girls students to make these two key mantras an integral part of their lives. Addressing the students during a function to mark Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Week - The daughters of New India here at local SD Phullarwan School, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that it was the need of the hour educate and empower the girls for making India a  front ranking country in the world. He said that Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign was one such endeavor in this direction, which could transform the destiny of girl child in the society. Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh also exhorted the girl students to spread the central theme of this campaign back in their homes so as to make their parents and other family members an active partner in it.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner also underlined the need for such sustainable efforts throughout the year for disseminating its message in a far more effective manner. He said that as the discrimination against the women and their exploitation was continuing round the year, so to counter them such campaigns may be at local levels must also carry on every day. Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh assured fulsome support and cooperation from the district administration to the students and other volunteers who carried on such activities, for the noble cause.
Earlier, the Additional Deputy Commissioner accompanied by District Program Officer Mr. Amarjeet Singh Bhullar and District Guidance Counselor Mr. Surjit Lal signed the pledge to proactively participate in this campaign. He also interacted with the students, who had made colorful rangoli to depict the logo of this campaign in the school campus. On the occasion, the Principal of school Mrs. Neeraj Saini welcomed the Chief guest and other dignitaries.
