Jalandhar 16 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the heritage institution - an autonomous college is always in the forefront for organizing multiple activities for the development of student. English Literary society at KMV under the aegis of the PG Department of English organizing the enactment of "Main Se Badhkar" a play inspired from the classic. All My Sons" a famous American Play By Arthur Miller. The Play was prepared and performed by YUVAA Theatre group founded by Dr. Ankur Sharma. The Team of YUVVA Theatre was extended floral greetings by Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi and Mrs. Seema Jain, Dean academics, senior most faculty and Head Post graduate Department of English. Dr. S.P. Gupta, Member KMV management committee, was honoured guest who was full of appreciation for KMV's initiative and YUVAA team's performance. The Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the performance of YUVAA theatre in glowing terms. She said that today's generation is a thinking generation which was clearly reflected in the performance. She also felt that the gist of the play cannot be better explained than by enacting it. No book can convey to the students what enactment can. The play conveyed a significant message that everyone in society should be responsible for people around them. And one cannot remain happy and it bound to suffer if one does not rise above personal and material consideration. Madam further said that art and culture is the core of every society and such artistic performances should be an integral part of academic life.
Mrs. Seema Jain, Head PG Department of English extended vote of thanks and highly organizing performance by YUVAA. She said that this theatre group has brought this play out of the monotony of the classroom. This enactment has brought life on the stage and richly enhanced the students' understanding of the play. She expressed her gratitude towards the Principal for her support in organizing such activities which are crucial to the students teaching learning process.
