Jalandhar 11 November (Gurkirat Singh)- Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar earned fame in the field of sports with their determination and dedication. Students of Department of Physical Education and Sports added a glittering feather to Apeejay’s glorious cap by winning third position for Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar at All India University Roller Hockey Championship in which 17 teams of various universities of the nation took part. The competition was organized by Directorate of Sports, Panjab University, Chandigarh from 6th November, 2017 to 11th November, 2017. College students Gurpreet Singh of BA Sem V and Harpreet Singh of B.com Sem I won Bronze Medals by representing GNDU, Amritsar. They exhibited their exemplary skills in the game and defended their team as ‘Defenders’ from opponent team’s strokes. Principal Dr. Sucharita wholeheartedly congratulated the achievers on this glorious accomplishment. She said it was a matter of immense pride that college students not only excel in academic and cultural fields but also achieve heights in the field of sports. She further wished them to soar high in future.
