Jalandhar 5 November (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya observed Nation Salutes Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel and organized ‘Unity Run – Ek Raashtr Shreshth Raashtr’ as per the directions of University Grants Commission. On this occasion, 100 students of various streams participated in Unity Run. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen addressed the students and said that the vision of Sardar Patel was united India. Sardar Patel did every possible effort in unifying a diverse country like India, so as to create a single political, socio-economic and administrative entity for governance under Independence India. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Coordinator of the programme also addressed the students and said that the young generation should work for the unity of India and should follow the footsteps of Sardar Patel. The students also took a pledge to uphold the ideals of unity as envisioned by Sardar Patel.
