Jalandhar 16 November (Jaswinder Azad)- To mark the National Press Day, a Panel Discussion of the students on , Press: New Perspectives, was organized in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, GNDU, Regional campus here today. Students of the Department- Ishita, Sachin, Inderpreet, Shruti and Luveena participated in the discussion. Pooja was the moderator for the discussion. Many issues like credibility of the press, role of new media, citizen journalism, sensationalising of news etc. were debated. On this occasion, a special edition of department newspaper was released which has articles and features on print media by the media students. Dr. Namarta Joshi, Head of the Department , told the students about the importance of Press Day and exhorted them to be ethical in their professional life. Dr. CharanKamlWalia, Ms. Sukriti Bahuguna, Ms. Muskan and Mr. Rama Shankar were also present.
