
Jalandhar 23 December (Gurkirat Singh)- The Annual Prize Distribution of Apeejay School Mahavir Marg was celebrated with gusto and fervour. Mr.Varinder Kumar Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar was the chief guest. Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson of Apeejay Education Society, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya and Svarn Group, Co-Founder and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University presided over the function. The Chief Guest was given Guard of Honour by Girl Guides and NCC students. The function commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp. The students enthralled the audience with fusion, Hip Hop and Rajasthani dance forms. A short film “A leader’s Journey” based on Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia was also shown. The medley of Indian folk songs mesmerized the audience. Principal Mr.Girish Kumar read out the annual report highlighting the various achievements of students. Mrs.Sushma Paul Berlia and Mr.Varinder Kumar Sharma congratulated the prize winners and motivated them to touch new horizons. The English play ‘Open The Eyes of My Heart’ and Hindi play ’Ibtidaa’ delivered heart touching messages. Mrs Namrata Sharma, Headmistress of Apeejay School Model Town gave the vote of thanks. The audience tapped their feet with scintillating bhangra. The function concluded with the singing of national anthem.
