Jalandhar 11 December (Jaswinder Azad)- Making the institution proud, the students of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara bagged medals during various tournaments held at national and state level. At the 17th Senior Women National Boxing Championship held at Berhampur Stadium, Odisha from December 3 to 12, College Boxer Manjot Longia made the college proud and bagged bronze medal. Sumandeep Kaur also participated in the championship. Similarly, at second Elite (senior) Women Punjab State Boxing Championship, Sumandeep Kaur bagged silver medal while Manjot Longia and Sanvir Kaur bagged bronze medals. The championship was held at Jain Model School, Phagwara. At 63rd Inter District school sports competition, Salma bagged silver medal in under 19 boxing girls event. This competition was held at Patiala. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia congratulated the winners and wished them all the best for the upcoming events.
