- Christmas and New Year Sale: A Creative Initiative
Jalandhar 10 December (Gurkirat Singh)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution's, B.Voc Retail Management students have organized Christmas and New Year sale at Sukriti- the Retail Lab. A wide variety of beautifully made artifacts home décor, apparels, jewellery are on sale. The sale has been a big hit with all the students and faculty members. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded Mrs. Rashmi Sharma, Incharge of B.Voc in Retail Management and the students for this exceptional imitative. Such activities provide students with ample opportunities to learn and explore the working of a multi-brand retail store. They also become acquainted with practical aspects of retail management. It is worth a mention here that K.M.V. is the only college of GNDU which has been granted D.D.U. Kaushal Kendra by MHRD, Govt. of India. The students of Retail Management have been doing exceptionally well and have got placement in renowned retail organizations through Retailers Association's Skill council of India (RASCI). Events such as the present one would enhance the knowledge and employability skills and also would make the students industry ready.
