KMV's CD on short films Released

Jalandhar 18 December (Jaswinder Azad)- Today a CD of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage and Autonomous Institution's Department of Journalism and Mass communication students was released by Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV. The CD is collection of short films produced and directed by KMVits. Short films are regularly produced by the students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and the themes and topics of these films are very pertinent and relevant. Many social, economic, cultural, environmental issues are taken up very artistically and impressively in these short filmS. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such thought provoking films leave an indelible imprint on the minds of the audiance. The movies in this collection include 'Aasha' which is based on the wastage of food and sensitize the views regarding the worth of each morsel, the short film 'Chancetakers' throws light on the drastic outcome of rash driving. 'Bebasi' is based on the importance of education. 'Andhvishvas' makes us ponderover the superstitionsrampant in our society. 'Bandish' highlights the increasing instances of depression in the contemporary youth. 'Log ki kehange' stresses on domestic violence. Along with these films there are some more short films like 'Ik Kadam' and 'Soch' which have embellished this precious collection. Dr. Madhumeet, Dean Student Welfare who was present on the singular occasion adumbrated that these films will be shown to the college students during the coming days and viewing them will be an enriching experience for them. It will evolve the students into better and senstive human beings. Madam Principal congratuated Dr. Rubal Kanozia, Head Departementt of JMC, other faculty members Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Ms. Nidhi Sharma, Mr. Sandeep Singh and Ms. Priya Chander for this exemplary initiative.
