Jalandhar 27 February (Jaswinder Azad)- A guest lecture was organized by department of English at Apeejay college of Fine Arts, Jalandhar on Importance of studying Literature. The resources person of the day was Dr. Jai Singh, professor at the English & Foreign Language University, Hyderabad. He threw light on various aspects of English language and Literature by comparing the ancient literature to modern day literature and told the students about the various angles from which literature could be studied and received. This lecture was quite helpful for the students in order to increase their aesthetic sensibilities and creativity skills.
Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma expressed her ecstasy over the visit of Dr. Jai Singh and added that such lectures give students the exposure to the real world and imparts them the techniques that how they can use their theoretical knowledge into practical knowledge. She congratulated Dr. Sunit Kaur, Head of English Department for organizing the event successfully.
