Four day 2nd state-level Mega Job Fair concludes at CT Group of Institutions

  • 363 students got selected & 590 students got shortlisted by 67 companies

Jalandhar 27 February (Jaswinder Azad)- A four-day 2nd state level mega job fair (under Ghar Ghar Naukri) concluded at CT Polytechnic College, Shahpur campus today. The job fair was started from February 22 and was continued on February 23, 24 & 27, 2018 for pass out and final year students of IT, Polytechnic and other courses like ITI, Diploma Engineering, BBA, BCA, B.Sc. (Non Med./Med.) and MBA etc. More than 2400 students from Doaba region participated in the job fair. 363 students got selected and 590 students were shortlisted by 67 companies.
Honorable Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister S. Charanjit S Channi remained the Chief Guest on the last day of the job fair. He was accompanied by Chairman of CT Group S. Charanjit S Channi, Managing Director Mr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chair man Mr. Harpreet Singh, Campus Director Dr. G S Kalra and Deputy Director (Centre for Career Planning and Counseling), Mr. Abhishek Soni.
The job fair was organized in association with Department of Employment Generation and Training, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Department of Higher Education, Department of Medical Education and Research and Punjab Skill Development Mission.
67 renowned multinational and national companies including John Deere, Videocon, Tele-performance, HDFC, Jindal Group and others participated in the Job Fair.
While appreciating the efforts of organizing this job fair, Honorable Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister S. Charanjit S Channi said, “This is a great platform given by the Government in order raise the employment opportunities for the young generation and the response has been outstanding. The key motive is to give maximum number of jobs to the pass out students and for those as well who are looking for jobs.”
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions congratulated the shortlisted candidates for the jobs and expressed his contentment by virtue of the fact that the institutions always work towards providing employment opportunities for the students.
