Jalandhar 25 February (Jaswinder Azad)- Day 2 and Day 3 of the International Design Week at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar were dedicated to instilling the inspiration in the students for socially responsive & constructive causes. Gè Smit (Senior Art Director/Designer) illuminated the students about understanding the social responsibilities as designers, if they aspire to market their products. This could also add on a shade of originality and creativity to their designs. More the products cater to the needs of the society, more the profit to the designer. He also highlighted the importance of taking care of the environment. Rene Pijnenberg stressed the idea of respecting the traditions and the present times in creating the designs. He also depicted various stages of material production. Further, he urged the students to develop self confidence, curiosity, enthusiasm, far sightedness, art expertise and an engineer like virtues. College Principal Dr. Sucharita expressed a positive hope that the students shall reap the harvest of benefit and success out of this Design Week.
