Workshop on everyday use Sanskrit Language concluded at HMV

Jalandhar 5 February (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a 10-day workshop on the everyday use of Sanskrit Language.  Sanskrit department took the initiative under the sage guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  Sh. Sanjeev Shrivastava and Dr. Udayan Arya, Principal Guru Virjanand Gurukul, Kartarpur were the chief guests at the closing ceremony of Sanskrit Language Workshop.  Principal Dr. Sareen welcomed the chief guests with Planter and Memento and expressed gratitude for making the event a success.  Principal also appreciated the efforts of teaching staff and students of the department.  She said Padmashri Dr. Punam Suri, President, DAV College Managing Committee New Delhi always remain enthusiastic to promote the Sanskrit language and with his blessings we initiated the chain of efforts for the diffusion of Sanskrit.  Thereafter Mrs. Sunita Dhawan, Head Sanskrit Deptt. welcomed the chief guests Dr. Udayan Arya, Shri Sanjeev Shrivastava, Dr. Harsh Mehta, Coordinator Sanskrit Bharti, Punjab and students from Gurukul Adarsh, Shiv, Raghunandan and Naresh Kumar.  While speaking about the initiative, she briefed that 35 students participated in the workshop and renowned learned persons in Sanskrit taught the students.  Mrs. Dhawan said further that college is doing great job in promotion of Sanskrit Language like weekly Havan Yajna, Monthly Havan Yajna for Non teaching staff, Moral Values competitions and Vedic Chetna Shivir etc.  She said when we learn Sanskrit, its become more easier to learn many other languages as Sanskrit is the mother of many languages. In the last, participants were given certificates.  Large number of college teachers including Dr. Jivan Devi, Political Sc. Deptt. were present.
