International Women’s Day Celebrated at Innocent Hearts School & College of Education

Jalandhar 8 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town celebrated International Women’s Day. On this occasion, teachers presented a program. Mrs. Shweta Chopra- Pranic Healer was invited as a guest of the day. Mrs. Shally Bowry- Executive Director of Schools and Mrs. Aradhna Bowry- Executive Director of Colleges graced the occasion. The program began with the kindling of lamp. The stage was conducted by Mrs. Rajinder kaur. Mrs. Sharmila Nakra- Vice- Principal of the school recited a poem on Women Empowerment and gave example of Arunima singh to motivate the teachers and never to give up. Mrs. Rajni Shori and other teachers sang songs in their melodious voice. . Mrs. Shweta Chopra gave tips to remain stress free and technique to do meditation. The efforts made by Madam Shally and Madam Aradhna for school and institution were appreciated. All the incharges gave a souvenir to the guest.  Lucky Draw also picked. The teachers took part in a number of activities and enjoyed a lot.
Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated International Women’s day. An extension lecture was delivered by Educator Mrs. Renuka Gupta on women empowerment focusing on the achievements of Saina Nehwal, Puja Thakur, Sania Mirza, Kalpana Chawla and Lata Mangeshkar. Actress Sridevi was also remembered on this occasion. The student-teachers of NSS unit presented power-point presentation on great Indian women personalities after independence. Poems were recited on the plight of women in the society and highlighting the role of women. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh motivated the student-teachers to fight against social evils like dowry system, female feticide, child marriage etc.
