K.M.V. collegiate Sen.Sec. School observes Anti-Terrorist Day

Jalandhar 21 May (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, the Autonomous and Heritage Institution- Jalandhar social sensitization of the young girls is a religious routine. The N.S.S. unit of K.M.V. organized Anti-Terrorist Day for the students of KMV Collegiate Sen. Sec. School. To observe and sensitize the youth regarding terrorism an awareness rally and different competitions like slogan writing, poster making and Essay writing were organized. It was heartening to see a warm response of the students to all the competitions. They participated in large numbers and won prizes. Their views on terrorism and related drug addiction problem brought to the front the fact that the youth of today wanted peace and prosperity. They were ready to make efforts for the same and strongly protested against diverse elements who used religion, class, caste etc. to promote anti-humanity activities like Terrorism. They were against unethical practices of use of violence to subdue common man and wanted the society at large to join the government in fighting against it. In slogan writing competition Sharanjeet, Punita and Simranjeet stood first, second and third respectively. The first three positions in poster making competition were won by Monica, Khusboo and Harneet. The essay writing competition was won by Loveleen Mehta where as Nikita and Mehakdeep stood second and Manju and Jaspreet bagged third position. From the results of debate competitions Navroz and Itika stood first, Diljeet and Loveleen got 2nd position and Pratigya and Sandeep bagged third position. In poetical recitation competition Loveleen Mehta got 1st, Ranjna secured 2nd and Neetu Chawla secured 3rd postion. Pritigaya, Liza and Arshia and Rajmail stood 1st,2nd, and 3rd respectively in speech competition  where as special prize was given to Tamanna Rana. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Ms. Veena Deepak Head KMV Collegiate Sen.Sec. School and Ms. Ashima Sahni for promoting and motivating Youth towards the path of Peace and Progress. She also gave away prizes to the students who got different positions in various competitions, organized during the day.
