Jalandhar 26 June (Jaswinder Azad)- HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School started ‘Innovation Hub’ in its campus in collaboration with Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) for the students. Innovation Hub is a place which provides facilities to nurture new ideas and help to develop inquisitive perspective in young girls. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen told that it is a place of learning where several innovative experiments have been set up demonstrating fundamental phenomena of science which are quantitative and visible in the range of human perception. Most of these are designed by our faculty members. She told that we have also depicted the contributions of Indian Scientists in the form of posters with their contributory work in order to motivate the students. Many experiments have been developed to explain physical concepts through laboratory demonstrations. This will help to promote logical thinking in students. Promoting inquisitiveness amongst students is the main aim of this Innovation Hub. It is a unique feature of HMV collegiate school which will encourage the students to make their career in the field of science. School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal told that the students are motivated and are involved in the process of model making. They are encouraged to prepare models with waste plastic and e-waste so that they can learn science and waste management to protect our environment.
