Jalandhar 12 July (Jaswinder Azad)- Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions conducted faculty development program in its Loharan campus on Effective Teaching by Prof Sharad Manocha, from DAV College Jalandhar. He was welcome by presenting a bouquet by Dr. Shailesh Tripathi Group Director Loharan Campus and Mr Deepak Paul principal of Hotel management. Prof Manocha put light on the dynamics of Public Speaking & Effective Teaching Pedagogy to all the faculty members. As he said that Learning is a continuous process and teachers need to arm up themselves to cope up with the challenges of education in this contemporary era. He put emphasis on effective speaking that a speaker should be confident and has to maintain good personality with clear content and clarity of words and expressions. He also guides the entire faculty on voice and said that voice can be cleared by practicing tongue twisters in daily life.
The workshop was aimed to impart effective teaching and research skills keeping in view that teachers use an array of teaching strategies because there is no single, universal approach that suits all situations. As effective teaching demands various integrated activities in teaching-learning system therefore, various strategies discussed in the session such as Modern teaching tools, Different Teaching strategies, Pedagogical tools were covered with this he also put emphasize to read different books such as “The Hotels” for Hotel Management department, “The God Father” & “Overload & Money Changer” for Management department. Total of 52 faculty members from various departments took part in the FDP and got benefitted from the session. The workshop provided a friendly and learning environment for all the participants and they were highly benefitted from the various sessions conducted.
