Jalandhar 12 August (Gurkirat Singh)- HMV students brought laurels to the institution by winning Overall Trophy at National Mathematics Day organized by DAV University, Jalandhar. Students from the Mathematics Department of HMV participated under the guidance of Head of the Department Mrs. Gagandeep and Miss Deepali. Students took part in six out of seven events organized there. The events were Poster Presentation, Mathematical Rangoli, PPT Presentation, Mathematical Quiz, Extempore and Poster Presentation. Briefing about the occasion HOD Mrs. Gagandeep said we got first prize in Poster Presentation, Mathematical Rangoli, PPT Presentation and Mathematical quiz while second prize in Extempore and Poster Presentation. Giving further information she said, Samanta Rana participated in Poster Presentation and got first prize, Prabhjot Kaur, Savi and Megha Paul won first prize in Mathematical Rangoli. Gazal Arora stood first in PPT Presentation, Jinny and Harinder won first prize in Mathematical quiz while Muskan got second prize in Extempore and Swati stood second in Poster Presentation. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the winner team and blessed them for achieving high in life. She also congratulated the faculty of Mathematics department.
