Jalandhar 16 August (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar Gandhian Studies Centre saluted motherland through various meaningful activities. The faculty and students celebrated the Independence Day with the students of Banarsi Dass Charitable School. Among the various social initiatives the college has been doing consistent work for the students of this school adopted by KMV in 2009. Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV has extended assistance in the form of providing benches and chairs, getting the school building white washed and inviting the school students since 2009 to college for celebrating Lohri dedicated to them. Every national day is celebrated with the students. Stationery, bags, blackboard, fans etc have been provided for the students here. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the department of Gandhian studies for their efforts in the endeavour.
