KMV Suffused with Patriotic Fervor on the eve of Independence Day

Jalandhar 14 August (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar celebrating India and its Independence is a Special Occasion every year. The nationalistic spirit which is present throughout the year is at it’s best and peak during the National festivals. A stung of competitions by various Departments were organized to celebrate the fervor of being Indian. While the Department of Music organized a competition of patriotic songs the Home Science  Department at the other end were busy making first and then judging the best Tri-colour dishes and delicacies. The Department of Dance had competitive volunteers dance to patriotic tunes while the Fine Arts people were busy painting T-Shirts in Tri-colour patters and then judging the best. The F.D. creative minds made jewellary of white, orange and green colour. Department of Journalism organized a Photography Competition based on patriotism. To conclude the long list of competitions the Department of Philosophy organized a  choreography, fancy dress, Poster making and slogan writing competition. The youthful nationalistic spirit swayed one and all the experience unique. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the young girls on displaying such genuine fervor and passion for their dear motherland. She reiterated that anyone who cannot respect his or her motherland remains rootless and moonless in a meaningless existence. She said that it was heartening to see the youth immersed so deeply in the nationalistic spirit. She also lauded the organizers of the celebrations Dr. Madhumeet, Mrs. Rashmi Sharma, Dr. Gurjot, Dr. Neetu Chopra, Mrs. Veena Deepak and Mrs. Rashmi Randev.
