Jalandhar 9 August (Jaswinder Azad)- North India's Premier institute Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar which is noted for its achievements in sports, culture and academics, took a giant step in the field of academics by commencing a new Diploma under the aegis of PG Department of Punjabi. College Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra, Joint Secretary Jaspal Singh Waraich along with Prof Gopal Singh Buttar, Head of Punjabi Department, welcomed Sardar Arinder Singh on him joining as Professor in Urdu. Dr Surinder Mand threw light on Prof Arinder's achievements in the domains of Punjabi, English, Persian, Urdu and Norwegian languages. On this occasion Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra reiterated that college is always ready to fulfill the needs of the students in each and every facets of their academic life. He also informed that Lyallpur Khalsa College is the only college affiliated to GNDU, Amritsar which has started this particular Diploma. He also said that the college will continue to initiate such Diplomas in Urdu and Persian in the near future. The occasion was also witnessed by Dr Harjinder Singh Shekon, Dr Sukhdev Singh Nagra, Prof. Kuldeep Sodhi and the entire staff of PG Department of Punjabi.
