Jalandhar 8 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Under the directions and benign guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, an orientation programme for NSS Volunteers was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar in the premises of the college. A warm welcome was extended to all the dignitaries by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The programme was presided over by Mr. Paramveer Singh SDM II, Jalandhar, Mr. Surjit Lal, District Guidance Counsellor, Jalandhar and Mr. Ranjit Singh Mahli, Sarpanch village Jandu Singha. Programme Officer Dr. Anjana Bhatia threw light over the significance of NSS unit orientation programme.
On this occasion Mr. Paramveer Singh congratulated NSS unit of HMV and conveyed his blessings to NSS volunteers for their zeal to serve the society through NSS and also emphasized the personality development through NSS. He encouraged the new volunteers to work with enthusiasm to improve the conditions of unprivileged section of society. On this occasion special guest Mr. Surjit Lal oriented the students and related the importance of NSS in making students good citizens of country.
Students were shown the motivational documentary named “Swatchhta ke 100 Ghante” for dedicating themselves to the cause of selfless service. The programme coordinator Mrs. Veena Arora motivated the students and shared previous year’s activities of NSS unit. All the volunteers pledged to dedicate hundred hours for social welfare. Assist. Programme officers Mrs. Pawan, and Ms. Harmanu motivated the students for their selfless service. The programme ended with vote of thanks.
