CEC Landran lifts trophy of table tennis tournament at CT Group
Jalandhar 1 September (Jaswinder Azad)- A two day Table Tennis Tournament was organized by CT Group of Institutions and IKG Punjab Technical University (IKG-PTU) at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus. For the opening ceremony, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar Praveen Kumar Sinha, IPS remained the Chief Guest.
23 teams (17 men and 6 women teams) from different regions participated that included names like CEC Landran, GNDEC Ludhiana, DAVIET Jalandhar, IET Bhaddal, ASGI Khanna, CGCTC Jhanjeri and CT Group of Institutions etc. After a tough competition, under Men category, CEC Landran bagged first position (Gold) followed by GNDEC Ludhiana, second (Silver) and DAVIET Jalandhar remained third (Bronze). Whereas, under women category, CEC Landran bagged the first trophy (Gold), followed by RBGI B Railmajra, second (Silver) and CGCTC Jhanjeri third (Bronze).
During the opening ceremony, Commissioner of Police, Praveen K Sinha, IPS said, “Sports play a major role in the overall development of an individual. To be a sportsperson, one must be dedicated and honest towards his game and must have passion for it. Winning and losing is a part life and a winner must be thankful to the losing team due to which the former celebrates the win.”
Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group congratulated all the winners and other participants for participating in this two day table tennis tournament and encouraged them to keep their sporty spirits high in future as well.
