CT Group of Institutions launched a Short film on ‘Traffic Awareness’

  • Police Commissioner, ADCP Traffic and the Chairman of CT Group released the movie.
  • City residents will be informed and motivated towards obeying of traffic rules by showing this video.
Jalandhar 29 April (Bureau)- The students of Journalism and Mass Communication under the patronage of CT Group of Institutions have shot a short film on Traffic Awareness. Commissioner of Police Arpit Shukla, Additional Commissioner of Police Richa Agnihotri, Deputy Commissioner of Police Harjeet Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Kulwant Singh Hare released the short film in the presence of S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) at Shahpur Campus on Friday. Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) and Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) were also present during the event. The group has also gave laptop, projector, speakers and other instruments to the police department.
Earlier, Commissioner of Police Arpit Shukla asked the students of Journalism and Mass Communication about their motive to shoot this short film. They said that in India due to lack of traffic rules awareness and non-obeying of the rules in the efficient manner, one person dies every minute in a road accident. They said, “We want to create awareness and motivate people towards obeying the rules by showing this short film. In this, we have added the clippings of the people died in road accidents. Some people died because of their irresponsive act and vice versa. With this movie, people will understand the need to follow the traffic rules in their daily life.”
Commissioner of Police Arpit Shukla appreciated the efforts of the students. He said, “Irresponsible behavior towards the non-obeying of traffic rules should be changed among the city residents. They should understand the value of life of themselves and of others as well.” He further said, “Students have showed the real truth as In India a person dies every minute. This leads to 60 deaths in one hour and 1440 deaths in a day.” He motivated the city residents towards the obeying of traffic rules. He said that the video will be showed in all the schools, colleges and Public places of the city.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) thanked the Police Administration for acknowledging the efforts of their students. He said, “CT Group of Institutions understands its responsibility towards the society. This short film is a further step towards our purpose of social welfare. He also congratulates the students for this wonderful effort. At the end, there was interactive session where students shared their queries with the officers.
