CT Group of Institutions celebrated World Tourism Day with Fun and Fervor

  • Maharani and Maharaja of the year were conferred to Mr. Vineet and Ms. Manpreet respectively.
  • The highlight of the event was traditional dress round in which students displayed their traditional attire.
Jalandhar 27 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The students of Airlines, Tourism and Hospitality Management of CT Institute of Hotel Management celebrated World Tourism Day under the patronage of CT Group of Institutions on Tuesday. Various events were organized in Maqsudan & Shahpur campus to mark this occasion. The programme started with the Saraswati Vandana. Students displayed various tourism models depicting monumental heritage of India, parks and gardens, Mizoram heritage village, adventure sports, seven wonders of the world etc. An essay writing competition was also organized along with the sketch making event. The theme of the essay writing was tourism and its importance. The students also participated in speech and power point presentation. The highlight of the event was traditional dress round in which students displayed their traditional attire. Folk songs and folk dances were also presented on this day. An environmental pledge relating to responsible tourism was also conducted.
Bamboo dance and Sarlamkai a traditional dance of North east west was the centre of attraction of the event. Maharani and Maharaja of the year were conferred to Mr. Vineet and Ms. Manpreet of Airlines Students respectively. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rohit Sarin (Director, CT Institute of Hotel Management) said “We will leave no stone unturned to make our India Incredible”. Judges from renowned Tourism organization witness the mesmerizing event. CT institute of Hotel management have students from various states of India namely Assam, Mizoram, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Delhi ,Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh etc. Every states exhibit their cultural dance.
Presented at the occasion include S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions and Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) along with other members of the management and faculty.
