Jalandhar 1 March (Jaswinder Azad)- The tiny tots of the pre- primary wing of Innokids (G.M.T.)(Loharan) and (C.J.R.) had great fun playing Holi with their friends. They played Holi with flowers showing great enthusiasm. Some of the kids came dressed as Radha – Krishna and presented a scene depicting Vrindavan. A tilak of organic colour was put on the foreheads of the little ones. The teachers explained the importance of the festival to the kids telling them the story of Prahlad and Holika. The message to ‘Save Water’ was passed on to the students while telling them not to play Holi with water. They were made aware of organic colours and told that these colours are not harmful to health. Director Principal Mr. Dheeraj Banati wished the little ones a ‘Happy Holi’ and passed on the message of protection of the environment to them. Incharge G.M.T. Ms. Gurmeet Kaur, Ms. Alka Arora(Loharan and Nitika Kapoor(C.J.R.) said that the main aim behind celebration of these festivals with so much pomp and show was to keep the children in touch with their cultural roots and show respect for all religions.
