Jalandhar 17 March (Gurkirat Singh)- Gandhian Studies Centre of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, the Heritage and Autonomous institution conducted a one day camp in village Mubarakpur Sheikhe for the village women. During the camp the women were given lecture on the importance of health and hygiene. A workshop of block printing, hair styling and make up was also organized. It is worth mentioning here that since its establishment in 2008, the Gandhian Studies Centre has been actively involved in various social extension programmes. The most important of these are the free vocational training for girls and women of rural areas in the college. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Dr. Monica Sharma, Director of the Gandhian Studies Centre for the social outreach initiatives of the department.
