Jalandhar 3 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Maria Montessori was an Italian physician and educator. She was a great humanitarian and is best known for the philosophy of education. Dr. Maria Montessori is the founder of the Montessori Method of education. Eklavya School celebrates her birthday every year by organizing a Montessori Exhibition in which kids give presentation about the use of Montessori materials. This year on 3rd September Montessori Exhibition was organized in the School.
Nursery kids exhibited the use of Pink Tower and brown stairs and Cylindrical blocks which help in developing the fine motor coordination and in the strengthening of hand and finger muscles. Nursery kids Manya, Angel, Vinayak exhibited the use of Pink Tower and brown stairs and cylindrical blocks. LKG children Manya, Sachit, Sonakshi exhibited the use of Number rods, Spindle box, beads and bead bar which help to recognize the numerals, to understand the concept of zero and counting. UKG kids Hargun and Priyanshu made a spinning wheel from colour tablets, Sarthak and Rachel did Addition table through Ganit Mala. Class 1 students Saranya, Khushi and Tanishika exhibited the use of Jodo cubes Multipication table with straws, place value cards. Class 2 students Gaurav, Prabhgyn and Jaspreet exhibited addition and subtraction with place value cards. Students of class 3 Guneet, Eknoor and Manthan made different patterns using Froebel. Class 4 Aasees, Saksham and Udayveer did prime numbers. The parents visited the school and appreciated the work done by the kids. The Director of Eklavya School Mrs. Seema Handa, the Manager Mrs. Sapna Bakshi and The Principal Mrs. Dimpal Sharma appreciated the work done by the students & they said that the concepts introduced through activities are learnt better.
