He was highly worried for the salaries class who did not get much in this budget. He quoted that in counties like Srilanka and others, there is no tax on teachers salary. But there is no such provision in country like ours. Even agriculture sector which was touted to get much from this budget was also a mere eyewash Government is just focusing on announcing so many things but is not clear about the allocation of fund. As far as indirect taxes are concerned, GST implementation has limited its flexibility. He briefly touched each and every aspect of the budget.
Ms. Sarvinder Kaur also shared her valuable views on budget. She was also not in favour of this budget. According to her focus should be on implementation as these are many leakages at every step. She stressed, two major policy initiatives GST, Demonetization were highly unplanned and poorly designed. This budget was a major hit to unorganized rural sector. She appreciated on step of the government that it is encouraging domestic manufacturing Though ‘Make in India’ and increasing employment opportunities through such policies.
