Jalandhar 6 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The Career Counselling Cell of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a workshop on “Personality Development”. Approx. 220 students from Arts, Science, Commerce & Computer Sc. streams participated in this workshop. The resource person of the seminar was Mr. Amit Mahajan, Co-founder “Build Skills”. Mr. Avilesh Mahajan, Co-founder “Build Skills”, Mr. Milan Kapoor, Professional Motivator & Trainer and Ms. Meet Inder, Head Counsellor in HR, Build Skills were also present. Dean Academics Dr. Meenakshi Syal welcomed the guests. Dr. Seema Khanna, Incharge Career Counselling Cell gave a formal welcome to the guests. Mr. Amit Mahajan talked about spontsneous speaking, body language, listening skills & brain controlling techniques. He told that according to a research, 83% importance is given to body language & 17% to tone. He differentiated between listening & hearing. He said that listening is not taught to us academically, the only stress is on speaking. It is our brain that makes us do everything. We have to focus on our brain and overcome our fear. Hand movements is also prove to be effective during communication. Mr. Amit Mahajan also did some personality reflection games with the students. Career Counselling Incharge Dr. Seema Khanna thanked the guests. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of Career Counselling Cell. On this occasion, Career Counselling Cell members, Mrs. Sangeeta Bhandari, Mrs. Rama Sharma, Mr. Harpreet Singh were also present. Stage was conducted by Mrs. Kajal Puri, member of the Cell.
