Jalandhar 18 October (Jaswinder Azad)- An Inter-House Technical Event held at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. A total of 517 students from 7 distinguished houses (Sigma, Omega, Zigbee, Turing, Chrome, Abacus and Gopher) participated in 20 Events namely Idea Snapshots, IT Extempore, IT Quiz, Ad-Mad-Show, Tech. GD, Logic Whirlpool, Net Savvy, Web Development, Debugging, Logo Designing, Personality Face Off, Test Your Technical Skills, IT in Colors, Pixel Plus, Hands on Keyboard, Software Showcase, Choreography, IT Cartooning, IT Rangoli. Speaking to the present, college Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra said that the technical education was the most desired thing in developing as well developed countries and it led to ample job opportunities, and with effective practical skills one could easily find for oneself good placement. Prof. Manhoar Singh HOD, Computer Science gave vote of thanks and informed that the Overall Trophy “S. Balbir Singh Memorial Trophy” was bagged by SIGMA House. SIGMA House won 8 First Positions, 5 Second and 4 Third Positions with 75 points, TURING House is first runner-up have won the 4 First, 3 Second and 4 Third positions with 41 points and ABACUS House is second runner-up have won 4 First, 3 Second and 4 Third positions with 37 points. The winners were awarded prizes by the Principal Dr. Samra and Prof. Manohar Singh HOD. Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof. Baldev Singh, Prof. Mandeep Singh, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Prof. Gagandeep Singh, Prof. Ratnakar Mann, Prof. Karamjit Kaur, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur Bains and other staff members and a large number of students. Stage on the occasion was managed by Prof. Karamjit Kaur.
