Jalandhar 23 August (Jaswinder Azad)- The students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar commemorated the terminal day of the fortnight celebration of ‘Azadi 70’ by the man recitation of the National Anthem. The students of the institute collected near the principal office at 11:00 a.m. on 23 August along with the posters on patriotic themes. During the fortnight celebration which started on 9th August, the college conducted various activities under the broad theme of patriotism. The objectives of these activities were to inculcate patriotic favour students. These activities include a man tree plantation drive by the staff and the students in the college, with the idea of “Green India, clean India”. Poster making and Rangoli competitions were also held. These events were performed in the honor of the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country. The Principal of the college, Dr. G.S. Samra applauded the efforts of social sensitization cell under the aegis of which these activities were conducted.
