Jalandhar 7 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar has been ceaselessly endeavouring to impart quality based education to its students. Bachelors of Vocation is a skill oriented course, in which the course curriculum is designed to supplement the theoretical aspect with the practical exposure in industries and computer centres. A training programme of one month was organized for the students of B.Voc in Management and Secretarial Practices (Semester-II) in which Mr. Karan, Mr. Vishal Sharma and Ms. Heena Sharma participated as the resource person. During this training, the students were made to work on computers and learn by doing the things practically. Ms. Heena Sharma and Mr. Vishal Sharma covered various topics like HTML, CSS3 and PHP. In Hyper Text Markup Language, the students were trained about creation of HTML tags, Tag Attributes, W3 Standards for a web page and basic concepts of HTML.In CSS3, the students were taught about the basics, types and properties of CSS3. In PHP, the students were acquainted with the conceptual framework of PHP, declaring variables using operators in PHP using control flow statements and loops, connecting web page to the data base in MySQL using web server etc. The students gained a lot during the interactive sessions in the training at Itronix Solution, Jalandhar. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the organisers.
